​Job Overview:


Seeking a passionate and motivated Community CAMHS Consultant Psychiatrist to join the Southend-on-Sea CAMHS team. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on child and adolescent mental health care in the community, while working as part of a dynamic multidisciplinary team. The successful candidate will provide senior medical leadership, support the team, and contribute to the development of mental health services for young people.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide senior medical guidance and support to the multidisciplinary team.

  • Work directly with children, young people, and their families to deliver mental health care.

  • Liaise with external CAMHS providers and acute hospitals as needed.

  • Participate in the 1:7 on-call rota with a Category B on-call supplement.

  • Collaborate with healthcare and social professionals to provide comprehensive care.

 

Essential Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Full GMC registration with a licence to practice.

  • CCT or equivalent and inclusion or eligibility for the Specialist Register.

  • Section 12 Approval or eligibility for it.

  • Approved Clinician status or eligibility for it.
