Job Overview:
Seeking a passionate and motivated Community CAMHS Consultant Psychiatrist to join the Southend-on-Sea CAMHS team. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on child and adolescent mental health care in the community, while working as part of a dynamic multidisciplinary team. The successful candidate will provide senior medical leadership, support the team, and contribute to the development of mental health services for young people.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide senior medical guidance and support to the multidisciplinary team.
Work directly with children, young people, and their families to deliver mental health care.
Liaise with external CAMHS providers and acute hospitals as needed.
Participate in the 1:7 on-call rota with a Category B on-call supplement.
Collaborate with healthcare and social professionals to provide comprehensive care.
Essential Qualifications and Requirements:
Full GMC registration with a licence to practice.
CCT or equivalent and inclusion or eligibility for the Specialist Register.
Section 12 Approval or eligibility for it.
Approved Clinician status or eligibility for it.
